Can't burn CDs, but no problem reading or ripping them

I'm having trouble with burning CDs. Whether I use Windows Media Player, iTunes, or just File Explorer, whenever I initiate the burn it ejects the disc almost immediately. Explorer and WMP don't even give me an error, they just yeet the disc. iTunes gives me unknown error, which is basically the same thing but with extra steps. The CDs are Verbatim CD-Rs. I have no trouble playing and ripping audio CDs in all 3 programs, and I assume those are CD-Rs. I have no trouble playing DVD or Blu Ray. Does reading and ripping a disc operate under different functions than writing to a blank disc? If not,

    :)

    RIP CDs

    Hi,

We suggest that you perform these steps and check if the issue persists:

    • Press "Windows" + "E" button on the keyboard.
    • Go to "View > Navigation pane" and select "Show libraries".
    • Now in the navigation pane, right-click on the "Music" library under "Libraries" and select "Delete".
    • Now right-click on the "Libraries" and select "Restore default libraries".
    • Now try to rip.

We also suggest that you refer to this link. Burn and rip CDs.

    Regards.

rip and burn cd's on windows 10

    It will rip CD's.

Insert Music CD, select all songs you want to copy.

Rip CD will now appear - select this.

After all songs have ripped to library, you will NOT just be able to drag them to Burn List as you might think.

Instead, click on Music. You will see a list of all of your music CD's. Scroll to find the CD you just ripped.

Select all songs. From here you will be able to drag to your Burn List. Start Burn.

Rip CD does not appear. Burn List does not appear. I can get the old CD into Windows Media Player, but nothing appears that Ican push to begin burn.
