Windows 10: Canon MX452 windows 11 question.

I recently had my laptop upgraded to windows 11. I tried installing my printer which is a Canon pixma mx452. Window 11 won't recognize the printer. It worked fine with windows 10. What could be the issue?

I tried all of the suggestions you gave me & none of them worked. In answer to the questions, I have no other error messages. It keeps adding the Canon MX450 printer instead of the MX452. I had other problems but I fixed them. I typed in devmgmt.msc
& typed it in again. The drop down list came up but did not have the name OTHER in it. When I clicked on the PIXMA MX452 driver download & clicked on Start Download I got 2 boxes. Step 1 RUN & Step 2 Click YES. I clicked 0n Step 1 but it never gets to
Step 2. I really don't like the Windows 10 that was automatically forced on me. Any other suggestions ? Donn

Hello All,

A week ago Microsoft updated me from 8.1 to the new 10 even though I did not want it. Now I can not access things I had before. I have a Canon MX452 printer and can not get the driver for it. When I look at the devices it shows a Canon MX 450 as
the printer. I have deleted it, unplugged my printer, restarted the computer, plugged it back in and the printer is still set for MX 450. I have tried down loading software, wrote it down so I can accurately follow the instructions. but the screens that
come up do not match what I wrote down. Does any one have an answer for me ? Donn

  Press Windows logo + R > type devmgmt.msc > type
  devmgmt.msc and press Enter to open Device Manager.
  
  Note: Unknown and uninstalled devices will be listed under
  Other. The device will have a yellow alert symbol on it. The properties for the device will show that
  no driver was found.
