Windows 10: Canon MP495 will print but not scan after Windows 11 upgrade from Windows 10

Canon MP495 will print but not scan after Windows 11 upgrade from Windows 10. When attempting to scan error message appears " WIA driver needed". I have downloaded the correct driver from Canon but no success. Any suggestions?

My Canon Pixma MP495 scanner no longer works with windows 11

AS advised by Microsoft, I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

All is OK but when I tried to scan a document from my Canon PIXMA MP495 it will not work - the printer works but not the scanner.

And according to Microsoft and Canon, the scanner driver is no longer supported by Windows 11

Without having to buy a new printer, how can this be resolved?

Please try the steps recommended below to uninstall printer software

Press Windows key + X, click Apps & Features or Programs and Features

Select your Canon printer.

Select Uninstall.

Press Windows key + R, type control, hit Enter

Open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your Canon Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for Canon Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Proceed to reinstall the driver.

Unable to scan from Canon mp495

i have upgraded to window 10 pro 64.. i cant get my canon printer (pixma mp495) to work properly..i checked you website and have down loaded all the apps and drivers and installed them. the printer will work but the scanner will not. i cant launch mpnavigator
ex v4.03.. i get the window spinning wheel for about 10 seconds then nothing.. i also cant launch Quick Menu Ver.2.6.1..when i launch quick menu i get a smaller black screen in the background of a windows pop up that says "program has stopped responding"..
other apps work ok.. i've deleted all programs, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled..same problem..i also tried installing just mpnavigtor to see if it would launch..no go.. i've tried all compatibility settings..still doesnt work.. However this is a shared
printer..my daughter laptop running windows 10 home installed the new software fine and all apps work ok...
