Windows 10: Cannot unlock the SSD with the bitlock keys in my MS account

Hi, A few weeks ago my pc suddenly stopped working. After multiple tries to recover I gave up and replaced the SSD in the pc with another SSD which works on a laptop. Then the pc works. But the pc SSD still has my data. So I bought an SSD enclosure and connected the SSD to the working pc and the working laptop. But I kept getting the bitlock protection message and ask me to unlock it. I found several bitlock keys from my microsoft account and used the one with the suggested key ID first. It did not work. The system says the key does not fit. Then I tried the other keys in my account and they d

Help unlocking a SSD, BitLocker key missing

Hi all,

I have a Dell laptop I bought in 2017 which I am having issues with and does not show up on the list of devices on my Microsoft account.

How can I find it so the I can get the key for BitLocker and unlock the SSD?

II am trying to savage my data from the SSD.

Windows Auto unlock ONLY works in case you have Bitlocker on your system drive, because if your system drive is not encrypted auto unlocking other drives means loss of security.
But in my case my system drive is Encrypted with hardware encryption that i password unlock during boot. So auto unlocking Bitlocker drives will do fine for me.

 

BitLocker key cannot unlock the disk. Neither can i reinstall cause the drive is blocked
