Cannot toggle Bluetooth on or off after AirPod connection - BSOD on Restart

Good morning,I am having an issue when connecting to my AirPods. They will work for a little bit, then stop working. To remedy this, I tried toggling my Bluetooth on and off in the Action Center. The Bluetooth icon is greyed out and clicking it does nothing. I tried restarting my computer and eventually received a BSOD. This has happened 10-15 times now and continues to happen. When I checked the minidump files, it says "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE 9f. A driver has failed to complete a power IRP within a specific time." The Faulting Module is: fffff80218c90000 BthEnum.I started troubleshootin

  2. AirPods Pro automatically connecting to laptop when it starts

    Hi Ian,

Thank you for getting back to me. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding the "Options" button under Bluetooth settings. Here's a more detailed step-by-step guide to help you:

    > Click on the Start menu and select Settings (the gear icon).

    > In the Settings menu, select Devices.

    > Click on the "Bluetooth & other devices" option on the left-hand side.

    > Under the "Audio" section, find your AirPods Pro and click on the "Connect" button if they're not already connected.

    > Once your AirPods Pro are connected, click on the "Manage" button.

    > In the Manage menu, click on the drop-down arrow next to your AirPods Pro and select "Remove device."

    > After your AirPods Pro are removed, turn them off and back on again.

    > Go back to the "Bluetooth & other devices" menu and click on the "+" button to add a new device.

    > Select "Bluetooth" and wait for your AirPods Pro to appear in the list of available devices.

    > Click on your AirPods Pro to connect them, but do not check the "Connect as an audio device" option.

    > After your AirPods Pro are connected, click on the "Options" button next to them.

    > In the "Options" menu, turn off the toggle switch next to "Connect to This Device" under the "Automatically Connect to This Device" section.

I hope this helps you solve the problem. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Best regards,

  3. Can't connect AirPods with window

    Hi Bai-fern Suwanjai,

    Welcome to Microsoft Communtiy.

Let me go over your matching steps with you.

    1. Press and hold the button on the AirPods until the indicator turns blinking white.
    2. Tap Bluetooth & Devices on your computer, tap "+" to add devices, and wait for AirPods to appear in the list.
*I have an AirPods Pro here, and based on my testing Bluetooth list it takes a few refreshes to list it. Sometimes you need to wait a while.

Alternatively, you can open the Device Manager by right clicking the Start button on the taskbar, and see if you can see AirPods under "Bluetooth" in the device Manager, where paired devices are listed.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

  4. Cannot toggle Bluetooth on or off after AirPod connection - BSOD on Restart

Airpods connecting but no audio or really choppy

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to try if your AirPods Pro are connecting but you're experiencing no audio or very choppy audio:

    1. Check the Bluetooth settings on your phone to ensure the Hands-free mode is not enabled. Hands-free mode can often degrade the audio quality and cause intermittent sound.
    2. Try turning off the Hands-free feature on your phone and see if that resolves the issue. You can go to the Bluetooth settings, find the connected AirPods device, and check if there is an option for Hands-free mode.
    3. Check the settings on the AirPods themselves to make sure Hands-free mode is not enabled. Go to iPhone Settings > Bluetooth > Select the AirPods device > Check if there are any Hands-free related options.
    4. Try switching the AirPods connection mode from Hands-free to Stereo. This may help improve the audio quality.
    5. If the issue persists, you can try resetting the AirPods. Place the AirPods back in the charging case and press and hold the button on the back of the case until the indicator light flashes amber, then white. Then reconnect the AirPods.
If the above steps do not resolve the problem, it may be a hardware issue, and you should contact Apple customer support to see if the AirPods need to be repaired.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards
