Windows 10: Cannot install GOG Galaxy

The error I get:Error writing to registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run RegSetValueEx failed; code 5. Access is denied.

GOG Games Not Booting

Perhaps these questions are superfluous, but I have to confirm the situation with you:

1. Can you download the game through GOG Galaxy?

2. Did you uninstall the GOG Galaxy platform and reinstall it?

Your computer is perfectly equipped to run Steam and Epic Games, which leads me to believe that the problem is not systems or hardware, so I focus on GOG Galaxy apps.

Error message "The drive or UNC share you selected does not exist or is not accessible. Please select another." when installing GoG Galaxy

Hey there,

a couple days ago, my second hard drive broke, which I used for games and storage only. System is on another. GoG Galaxy was on the second one.

I now have a new, clean hard drive. When installing GoG Galaxy, I get the error message stated above and on the screenshot. This occurred before even choosing a destination for it to be installed to.





GoG Galaxy is still in "Apps & Features" with a template icon. When trying to remove it, I get an error message that the deinstall file can't be found, which makes sense, since it is not there anymore.

How do I get it out of there/how can I install GoG Galaxy again?

Problems with GoG/Account

Bought Witcher 3 - physical DVD's - Installed just fine and have been playing. I went to get the free DLC and my GOG account says game not there. In GOG galaxy, it shows up as installed but when I try to DO anything but play the game it wants a "code" and since I don't have a code that's the end of it. I downloaded the DLC but when I try to install it says game needs a patch, which takes be back to the account and code etc. I sent in a support request but thought that as long as I have to wait anyway, that I'd try here to see if anyone might know what's wrong. Its all really no big deal as the DLC is just horse armor, hair and beard extras etc. but I would still like to have it. Any suggestions?
