Windows 10: Cannot access More Options in Settings>Update & Security>Files Backup Win 10

In the last few weeks, I've been unable to get into Files Backup>More Options. It takes ages to open files Backup and when I click on More Options, it greys out and the whole Settings window freezes. If I switch windows, the Settings window vanishes, even though the gear icon is still visible in the task bar. My Win 10 is up to date. At least I can still access and use the old control panel. access BIOS settings in Win 10

I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?

 

File Hisitory is making too many PST backups

Thank you for the response. We suggest managing your File History by setting how often it can save copies and how long it will keep the files.

To do this, please follow these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Update and security.
• Choose Backup.
• On the left side, click More options.
• Choose See advanced settings.
• On the right side, Turn off the File History.
• Then, on the left side, click on Advanced settings.
• Next, look for Save copies of files and choose your preferred option.
• Then, on the Keep saved versions, choose your preferred option as well.

I was going by other advice and articles that suggest that backing up under Update and security/backup is now the way to go. I will try your suggestion.
