Windows 10: Calculator - Calculator opens a new instance each time I use the button

Until about a month ago, when I would press the calculator button on my keyboard Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 and Win 7 still, the calculator would open just one instance. If i pressed it a second time, it just jumped to the same first instance that I used a little bit ago, and I only had one calculator window open.Now it opens a new instance every time I use the button & that is completely agitating because it opens in different areas of the screen & I cant see my prior calculations unless I jump back to the first instance. - the advice in of the prior questions about using Alt

Calculator Will not Open

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

  Are you facing this issue on a local account or the Microsoft account?
  
• 
  Are you facing this issue with the built in calculator or the calculator app?
  

If it is a built in Calculator I would suggest you to check if you can open and check the status.

• 
  Press Windows + R keys.
  
• 
  Type calc and hit Enter
  and check the status if its opening.
  

I would also suggest you to try creating a new user account
and check if issue persists.

calculator button

The calculator button on my keyboard no longer opens the calculator. It launches the "add an account" email feature.

 

Is there a way to force the new calculator application in Windows 10 to open only one instance of itself?

I just upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Pro, and I'm really enjoying the new calculator application, except for the fact that it opens a new instance every time I use my keyboard's calculator key.

Is there a way to force it to be a single-instance application like the calculator in Windows 8.1 was without forcing me to use a different application?
