Windows 10: CAC Card Certificates not showing up on Windows 11 Home edition.

CAC Card Certificates not showing up on Windows 11 Home edition. Long Story short I just purchased a Surface Pro 9 to use as a work computer. Found a good deal. I am in the military and need a CAC Card Reader to access different websites for work. I have downloaded the drivers and updated the Firmware for my CAC Card Reader but not been able to log on to the websites I need to. Every time I try, I get the no Certificates found error. When I look at my certificates in the internet setting the certificates are present like they should be. I have never had this issue Windows but now cannot seem

Smart Card not reading CAC

Hi,

After a microsoft update a few months ago my smart card reader no longer recognize my CAC. When I would try to log onto military sites, it would say no certificates present. On activclient (middleware), it would say no card reader detected. I am using a
SCR331 and a Stanley global as card readers. However, I know my CAC and the readers are good because both work with no issues on my laptop and at work. I also know my desktop (which is the issue) use to work fine until I did the update. When I rolled back
the update, the issue was still present.

I have read and used all the steps and tips I could find on Military CAC to no avail. Under devices, I can see both smart card readers and both have newest drivers. Under services, certificates and smart card readers are running and automatic.

I have seen this very issue posted many times on the help forms and the few actual suggestions I have tired. Helping to find a solution would not only help me but many others with this same issue.

CAC Card reader not detecting the card

Hello, I've read several posts with the EXACT same question, but they're not resolved, so I'm starting my own. I'm in the military and use a CAC CARD reader to access websites. After a recent windows update, my computer no longer detects my CAC CARD. The
card reader is fine, but the card itself isn't detecting. I REPEAT, the card reader is fine. (Also, its NOT an SD card. Its a CAC card. On an other post here, a fix was suggested for an SD card. Its not an SD card).

The card reader is detected, I've updated and reinstalled the driver multiple times. I've tried rolling it back. The card reader shows on the computer under Device Manager, it shows on other computers too, and the CAC Card works on other computers. It is
not a problem with the card reader, or the card, it is a problem with some settings in this computer. Internet explorer, google chrome, and firefox all fail to see the CAC Card on this computer. Can you please help fix how my computer will detect the card
itself?

The card reader i'm using is called "Stanley Global Technologies" and in Device Manager it shows as Smart Card Reader- "Alcor Micro USB Smart Card Reader".

New lenovo laptop is not detecting certificates from my CAC Card....

Just got a new lenovo ideapad 3 gaming with windows 11. I know my cac reader is not malfunctioning, it works on other computers. My computer is detecting it in device manager, but when i insert my CAC, i don't see any certificates under internet options-content-certificates.

I have read all the other posts and tried EVERYTHING! I set the smart card to automatic in "services." I added full access to everything in the Regedit - Calais folder. cleared SSL and restarted multiple times. verified in "device manager" that I have the current driver for my reader. Please help.
