Hi,I am having a problem with Windows Hello Facial recognition on my Laptop.I have an Asus Rog M16 2022 GU603ZM which I use predominantly for school and some home usage such as gaming. Two days ago I started up my laptop as usual and the Windows Start menu stopped working, I either opened it and it closed after around 2 seconds or it refused to open at all. As well as this I noticed my machine generally laggy'er than usual constantly showing the loading curser after startup. I straight away went to searching for solutions to this but didn't find a solution, due to needing my laptop functioni

Missing Biometrics and Windows Hello Files

Biometrics is missing in Device Manager on my Alienware 17 R4, One of the possible solutions I found on the Web was to go to C:\Windows\System32\WinBioPlugIns\FaceDriver, right clich on Helloface.inf and select Install. I did that but it didnt restore
the Biometrics option in Device Manager. Now I find that, not only is the Biometrics option missing, but the C:\Windows\System32\WinBioPlugIns\FaceDriver subdirectory is also missing. Anyone know of a way to manually reinstall the Win Hello drivers? Yes,
I know that I could reinstall Windows, but there should be a simpler way to do it.

 

Missing folder

I'm missing the "FaceDriver" folder in (C:\Windows\System32\WinBioPlugIns) and I don't know what to do.

 

Facial Recognition Doesn't Recognize Camera and FaceDriver File is Missing

I have a brand new Lenovo x1 yoga gen 7 laptop that's not even 24 hours old. It came with Windows 11 and is supposed to have facial recognition, but when I have tried to set up the feature in sign-in options underneath the option it says "this option currently is unavailable."

The integrated camera works just fine, but there's no Windows Hello driver under Biometrics Devices in the Device Manager. In addition, the FaceDriver file that's supposed to be located in C:\Windows\System32\WinBioPlugIns\ is missing, which means I can't install the HelloFace.inf and HelloFaceMigration.inf files.

I have spent hours researching and attempting fixes (including downloading all updated drivers available from Lenovo), but nothing works. Is there any way to download the missing FaceDriver file? What are my other options?
