Windows 10: BSOD while trying to update drivers

Hello i tried to download drivers for my CPU but there is a BSOD that the code of is:SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLEDand the source of the problem isamdacpafd.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:

• Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
• Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
• After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

That it is a hardware error is clear and good to know that you've found the cause, but why did you enable driver verifier?

Nope, it is saying something caused memory corruption. Memory corruption isn't specific RAM:

Hello all,

I have just upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 pro. Getting multiple different BSODs including bad pool caller, system thread exception not handled (RTKVHD64.sys), and some others. Dmp files attached. I took a look at the reliability history and saw seagate dashboard was causing a problem - updated that driver. Also saw MediaServer on the list, so I uninstalled TVersity. I'm trying to update my graphics card driver, but I am getting bsod in the middle of updating (first time was system thread exception, second time was bad pool caller). Thanks in advance!
