Windows 10: Boot Failure after system freeze repair attempts unsuccessful

Computer froze last night while attempting to close a game, I force shut down with the power button. This morning it isn't booting, it just freezes on the spinning wheel. I've tried booting from multiple ISO's but it either skips the USB boot or freezes. The onboard boot manager never makes it to a repair stage, I've *successfully* gotten to a BSOD but not sure how or why.I've also tried pulling RAM sticks to but no changes. This doesn't scream HD issues because it won't even boot from a Flash ISO. I'm not sure what the CPU would act like if it were damaged, and it doesn't seem like the GPU wo

Boot up failure

Good morning, it’s been a while since I had a problem, helped by the forum volunteers.

Today, our HP Envy suddenly froze and would not respond to anything. I performed an emergency power off, waited 30 seconds and powered on. Nothing although the monitor flickered briefly.

I then made several unsuccessful attempts to start in safe mode. I then tried a simple power up to be met with, “Preparing Automatic Repair” and there we are, still frozen with no activity.

Any suggestions, please?

I continued attempts to boot in safe mode. None of the usual options were offered. This time, however, the message, “Diagnosing your PC” is displayed and then it freezes again.

 

No boot after unsuccessful System restore

I would suggest you to download the media creation tool to install windows 10 and create Windows 10 installation DVD media and try Repairing your Computer.

Follow the below steps:

  Create installation media for windows 10.
  
  Refer to the below link:
  
  Download Windows 10
  
• 
  Insert the Windows 10 installation DVD in the DVD ROM and restart your computer.
  
• 
  After you boot your computer using Windows DVD or System Repair Disc, a black screen appears with gray text "Press any key to boot from DVD". Press any key.
  
• 
  Select the correct time and Keyboard type.
  
• 
  Click Repair your computer in the lower left corner.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instruction.

Stuck in Windows 10 Upgrade

My computer seems to be stuck in a Windows 10 failed upgrade loop. I was running fine on a beta version of Windows 10, and then I came downstairs one morning to see it repeatedly booting, attempting to repair, then rebooting. The steps I've taken to diagnose are:

• Attempting to boot off a USB drive (with all drives disabled in BIOS) - this fails at the point of the blue windows screen
  
• Attempting to boot the machine itself and getting into "repair/safe mode" using F7
  
• Looking at the BIOS for obvious failures (e.g. RAM that should be there is missing) - nothing obvious is wrong.
  

I am fairly certain the build version was 9926. For many months, the system would attempt to upgrade, and then say "it failed" for some reason and roll back.

Suggestions for next steps?
