Windows 10: Bluetooth mouse stutter on Windows 11 after update

I bought a new laptop, a pretty good one, two days ago.. Everything was fine until this morning, when my bluetooth mouse started stuttering.. It's barely visible unless I play games, where it actually effects.. All drivers are up-to-date and there are no more updates to install.. I was trying different settings for my game and that's when I realised that it was stuttering and I'm not sure if it's the update itself or the settings.. Already tried disabling visual effects thing. I switched from bluetooth to usb and it was working properly, and the touchpad is working fine as well.. What I think

Method 1:

Check if the Bluetooth mouse and its Bluetooth adapter are working properly.

• Try installing fresh new batteries.
• Try to unplug the Bluetooth adapter of your mouse and plug it back in.
• Try connecting the Bluetooth adapter of your mouse to a different USB port.
• Try to remove objects that can interfere with the signal of your Bluetooth adapter and mouse.

Method 2:

Check if you have installed all the updates on your computer. There are chances that you might get Bluetooth drivers through update:

• Go to the Start screen.
• Type Windows update and click on it from the list of results.
• Click on Check for updates on the left pane in the new window.

Mouse Stutter in Windows 11

Hi, I had a stuttering mouse for ages. The fix for me was to remove a wireless headphone USB dongle. This was interfering with the wireless mouse.

Anyone with two wireless devices on their PC with mouse stuttering, try removing any second wireless/bluetooth dongles first.

1. Update Bluetooth Drivers: Even if you didn't find any driver updates through the regular update process, you can manually check the manufacturer's website for your laptop model to download and install the latest Bluetooth drivers.
   
2. Disable Exclusive Mode: Settings > System > Sound > More sound settings > Playback > Properties > Advanced tab and uncheck the boxes under "Exclusive Mode" to allow applications to take exclusive control of the device.
   
3. Reset Bluetooth Cache:
   
   • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:
     
     
   • This will reset the Bluetooth service and clear the cache. Restart your laptop afterward.
     

Apart from that, you can also consider the impact of signal interference, signal strength aspects on Bluetooth quality, and you can even consider buying a new Bluetooth transceiver (which is not expensive as far as I know).
