Windows 10: bluetooth headset not connecting automatically to Win 10 PC

HelloI'm wondering why my paired Bluetooth headset is not linking up automatically to my Windows 10 PC. Even though it's already in the list of Bluetooth devices, the connection doesn't happen automatically every time both the headset and computer are on.Internet searches suggest there could be a problem if it's also paired with another device e.g. a phone besides the computer. But I'm fairly sure it isn't.Is the issue that the headset has 2 possible Bluetooth protocols, one hands free and one for music etc.? If that's the problem, is there a way to have it default to one or the other withou

WIndows 10 cannot connect to a bluetooth headset.

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
• Click OK.

• What is the make and model of your headset and Bluetooth dongle?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you perform the steps posted on this article
to resolve Bluetooth connection issues in Windows 10.

Unable to Stream Music/Audio from Win 10 PC to Bluetooth Headsets.

Hi All,

I am on Win 10 Update 1903.

I recently tried streaming music/audio from my PC to different BT Headsets. However, I am unable to do so for all the BT headsets.

I am able to pair the headset BT devices, but not able to connect and play audio. The option to allow Discovery is enabled already.

When I Press the Connect button after selecting the paired device in Settings-->Devices-->Bluetooth, I get a message as shown in Figure-1 below:

Below Figure-2 shows how my Bluetooth devices appear in Device Manager:

And the below Figure-3 shows how my Audio devices look in Device Manager - Please note none of the BT Headsets appear here :

Bluetooth headset doesn't get detected as audio device automatically

I've got the headphones paired via Bluetooth but when clicking on the sound icon in systray there's no option to quick switch.

To get audio through the headset I have to go to Devices and Printers, right-click the headset icon, select Control, then I get the following window:





I then have to choose Connect.

Only then does the option to switch audio appear in the sound pop-up





I'm not sure what is required to get the headphones detected automatically - is it a limitation of the headset or my Bluetooth dongle?
