Windows 10: Bluetooth Headphone Connection Issues

I have a pair of donner dobuds, I was able to hear sound from my laptop through them for many months. I am still able to connect them to the laptop, but when i play sound they just play through laptop speakers. I thought it might be the earbuds so I connected them to my phone and they worked just fine. I attempted to update my Microsoft AC adapter and it had no updates to give. I tried forgetting the device and reconnecting as well. I have followed every tip online and even another recommendation from this very sitefrom a person with the same exact issue, nothing, and i mean nothing, has wor

setting up win10 Bluetooth and my Bluetooth headphones work fine ,but every time I reconnect the headphones I have to delete them from Bluetooth settings and let win10 pickup the headphones again ,before they will pair ,then win10 want to reboot to add the headphones ,I reboot and they work fine ,but next time I plug the headphone in again they will not pair ,don't even get an option to pair till I delete the head phones from the list ,, any suggestions ,, thank

Step 1: Troubleshoot problems with Bluetooth accessories.

Step 2: There are two terms regarding Bluetooth: pairing and connecting. Pairing is the introduction of one device to another. Once paired, they will stay in each other’s memory until manually erased. Once a device
is paired, the headset can then connect to that device to receive audio or voice from the device.

• Go into the device's paired list and manually select the Bluetooth.
  
• You may need to clear your paired list in your headset and re-pair your headset to your device.
  
• To clear your paired list in your headset, follow these steps: on the headset, press and hold the call and volume – buttons for 10 seconds
  
• The headset will revert to discoverable mode (slowly blinking LED), allowing you to re-pair the computer you want connect.

Hi,

We see that you are having issues connecting your Bluetooth headphones to your Windows 10 Home laptop. Your Bluetooth headphones might be paired with your PC but it's not connected. To resolve this, kindly follow the steps below:

• Make sure your Bluetooth headphones is turned on.
• On the far right of the Windows taskbar, press and hold (right-click)
  Volume, and then select Playback devices.
• On the Playback tab, select the Bluetooth headphones, press and hold (or right-click) it, and then select
  Connect.
• Select your Bluetooth headphones, and then select Set default. Music should play on your Bluetooth headphones now.
