    I love it when I click on something like that and my kit comes first *Biggrin

    They seem to completely miss though that the ASUS DSL-AC68U is one of the few VDSL modem routers on the market which makes it all the more special.

    should be now Belkin routers under the Linksys brand as Cisco sold Linksys.

    Never had a Belkin router... I do have AC1900 routers from Netgear, Linksys and ASUS. Belkin has owned Linksys since March 2013.

    Well The E-Series Router that I bought long after 2013 has no mention of Belkin on it. Probably left over merchandise still with the Cisco-Linksys brand. Well it working , if I ever need another one I will look into Asus. Thanks Almighty for the info!

    The EA6500 was the last Cisco made router which had tons of problems. The EA6900 was the replacement that was made under Belkin ownership. Ownership has nothing to do with it since only the real Cisco products are good and they have 4 digit price tags, all the stuff they acquired are not the same quality anyways. Belkin was the one who brought back the WRT under the Linksys name known as the WRT1900AC.

    I have a Netgear R6250 802.11ac Wireless Router --- for the last 3 years or so, and so far so good.

    I have AT&T here, and speed is fast enough for me and wife... so we just deal with it.
    It is this slow speed all the time.... but steady...

    I own Asus RT-AC68U it's good router. Management panel is intuitive yet powerful (feels like dd-WRT), hadn't had any problems with it no need for restarts etc. rock solid. Also Asus releases quite regular firmware updates.

    I'm currently using a Netgear R7000 AC1900 Nighthawk with DD-WRT, I have the Linksys EA6900 and the ASUS RT-AC68U/R (Best Buy model) as well. ASUS software is good but not as good as the Merlin modified ASUS firmware which is also available for the Netgear R7000.
