  1. Bad performance after a windows reinstall

I reinstalled my Windows a while ago and I have noticed a fairly noticeable drop in the performance of the games I played. I've been having fps drops and framerates much lower than before. Like how is Roblox running at 30 fps and less.

    :)

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Bad performance after a windows reinstall :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

WIndows Performance Gone Bad -- DNS

    Two developments:

    1. The morning after disabling the overnight backup job there was no performance problem.
    2. Lenovo reported three pending driver updates, which I installed:
      • Thermal driver
      • Power Management driver
      • Bluetooth driver
That power management update looks promising since it was a power-cycle that temporarily corrected the problem.

After installing those updates I did a manual invocation of the backup job and there was NO subsequent performance problem. That doesn't prove anything but it is suggestive! I have re-enabled the automatic, scheduled, backup job and will see if there is
or is not a problem tomorrow AM.
