Windows 10: August .Net framwork update KB5042349

I'm trying to download August 2024 .Net framework update KB5042349 for win server 2022 manually from windows update catalog update but after clicking on download , its redirecting me to windows 10 download link which is strange. Cannot install .NET framwork 3.5

I noticed that your problem is encountered in a VM, if some method that works on a physical machine doesn't work, you can try to post here.



You can check if the .NET framwork 4.8 framework is installed normally.



This problem can be caused if the .NET framwork 4.8 framework is currently missing from Windows.



You can click here to download the latest .NET framwork 4.8 framework for installation, and try to install .NET framwork 3.5 again after installation.



Also, the DISM command can be retried a few times, possibly after a few attempts to install successfully.

If these still do not solve your problem, then you can try reinstalling Windows on the VM to see if it is the problem of the image file.

Tried both of these and no luck unfortunately.

Error still occurs.
