Windows 10: Audio is not working through 3.5 mm jack on case

Hi All,I got a new computer and was put together by a local store.The Bluetooth headset works fine, also a bluetooth speaker works fine, but when I try to use the 3.5 mm audio jack no audio at all.Currently my computer sees NVIDIA as the audio output and the only output.I know my motherboard has audio but how can I switch to that? or how can I make the audio works?The motherboard is MSI B760 GAMING PLUS WIFI LGA 1700 280 DDR5 ATX Motherboards - Intel, SATA 6Gbps, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 7.1 HD AudioI just want to plug in and use my headset.

I understand that the 3.5mm jack on your computer is not working. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
  

I would suggest you to try connecting any other headphones to the jack and check if it works.



If connecting any other headphone doesn’t work, you may want to try running a hardware diagnostic checkup on the computer just to make sure there is no hardware fault. Refer the Dell article on
Diagnostics & Tools.

Audio not working from line out and case jack

My audio comes through the line out jack and case jack every 15 sec for less than 1 sec. I've tried rolling back drivers, updating drivers, using different headphones, enabling audio in the BIOS. I'm looking for help and suggestions.

 

3.5 mm audio jack is not working

I'm using a Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 10 Home

Recently my laptop has stopped outputting sound through it's built in 3.5 mm audio jack. This is normally not a huge deal, as I can just use its bluetooth to connect to my headphones instead. I would, however, like to still use my 3.5 mm when my headphones
run low on their battery. I would go to plug my headphones in and nothing happens. I have checked the headphones (and the cord connected to them) on another device. I have looked inside the jack and found no visible dust or debris. I blew out the jack just
to be sure. I then looked under my sound settings and could find no device through my 3.5 mm. I used to get a popup when I plugged something into my 3.5 mm that would let me select what the jack was being used for, but now nothing happens. I went into my troubleshooter
and it says that there is no jack information available.





I then went into my device manager to see if there was some sort of driver update or something. I couldn't find 3.5 mm under audio inputs and outputs, or under sound, video, and game controllers.









Would the driver be located under a different location?

Am I an idiot?

My laptop definitely has a built in 3.5 mm jack that worked in the past just fine. How can I fix it?
