Windows 10: audio crackles and lags since last windows 11 update

I have a Acer Swift 3 with Realtek audio drivers. I've tried many different fixes suggested on youtube to no avail. The audio recently started to crackle and lags or even has speed variation when listening to mp-3s...What can Microsoft do to fix this?

Windows 11 Audio Crackling

I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 earlier today and ever since, I've had terrible audio crackling. Everywhere. Youtube, Spotify, games, local files, etc. I've tried everything I could, including all the solutions suggested on this thread (except doing a repair install). Updating, reinstalling, and searching for new drivers has so far amounted to nothing. My headphones aren't broken either, so I'm at a complete loss here.

Windows is totally up to date, too. Is there any way I can fix this?

 

Audio Crackling/Video Lag

Hi,

I have had terrible audio crackling, and cutting out the last two days, as well as video lag whenever the sound cuts out.

I believe the problem is ndsi.sys and wdf01000.sys causing massive DPC latency.

All help would be appreciated.

1) Try these fixes for Windows 11 sound crackling, a known issue:

2) Update your drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker. Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start button. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.

3) If nothing else works then do a Repair Install, by installing Media Creation Tool, open tool and choose to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows while keeping files, programs and most settings in place, is the most stable method to advance to the latest version, and solves most problems. Tutorial here:
