When i click on an attachment now or a photo, instead of it opening it required me to save it first in windows and I don't want to do that. I want to OPEN it and then save it as I choose. It used to do that. I would click on the photo, once opened, and then choose save as. Now save as comes first.And the window that opens with the files and locations IS ENORMOUS and takes up the entire screen. It used to be on the left hand upper side in a normal box. The window CANNOT be resized. There is nowhere to do that and even if I wanted to there is no minimize bar and the double headed arrow will not

What happened to Windows? Why are you doing this?

I got rid of an earlier problem which was the stupid bubble/download which was a flag in Chrome and i was able to go back to the Classic download on the bottom of the screen.

I believe what i'm describing is a windows issue. Edge asks you how you want to download it. I want to SEE IT FIRST

why is the download being forced on me without just letting me OPEN the attachment. I don't use Edge anyway unless i want to compare something that is going on in Chrome.

I hope you understand my question. I want to open, and then save as like before in a normal sized window with the various places to save. thanks

How To Save Open Email Attachments?

I received an e-mail flight itinerary from my airline. When I'm online the itinerary opens as the message body. Nowhere is there a link to an attachment. When I'm offline, the message 'couldn't download...' appears in the message body. What I want to
be able to do is save that itinerary to the phone so I can use it offline, even when it's not listed as an attachment.



Restarting the phone doesn't help. I'll submit a suggestion.

Unfortunately all modern browsers download files and save first, rather than just opening them.

I believe this is part of security precautions in the newer browsers.

As such these isn’t actually a setting there you can change this behaviour.

The only further suggestion I can give is to submit feedback on the issue using the feedback hub app, you can find this in the start menu.
