Windows 10: Asus X 512 FA laptop cant read any usb device

Hi1. my asus pc cant read any usb devic e though the usb ports can read any other plugged in device loke wired mouse ,portable external hard disk .2. please see screenshots below which show a first photo where the status of the usb device in device manager when usb device plugged in. b second photo shows status of device manager when usb device plugged out3. all known methods to rectify this defect has failked.the usb device does make a noise when inserted and removed but is never visible.

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your device. Refer these steps:

b. Expand the USB driver.

c. Right-click on the USB and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.

Usb devices go for a sleep every x minutes - Windows 10

the latest mouse and also USB drivers and check if that helps:

  Right click on the mouse and the USB drivers and select
  “Update”.
  

If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the latest mouse and USB drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
