Windows 10: Asus G74Sx Windows 10 drivers

Well, I am still using this laptop and it's still great for office work. However, I've decided to give it to my father so I've returned it to it's factory settings using windows 10 tools. And now it looks like some of the drivers are not working and I can't find them anywhere online anymore since this laptop is now very old. I have problems with my FN key, it doesn't work anymore after the re-install of the system. For example, here is the topic in this community with some specific links to ATK package for Windows 10, I believe it should help me. But it is not available anymore, links seem to

Asus G74SX Smart Gesture on touchpad is not working after upgrading to Windows 10

I had a similar situation when upgrading to Windows 10 and would like to help you and other's if you still haven't been able to get your touch pad working as it was before your update.

NOTE: Not all Asus G74SX systems shipped with Synaptics hardware, some have Sentelic hardware, verify your device manufacturer beforehand; however the same method can be applied for both.

• Download
  THIS driver and extract the contents.
• Open your Device Manager by either searching it in the search bar or navigate to it via the control panel.
• In Device Manager, locate your Synaptics touch pad device in the tree. Mine was listed as
  PS/2 compatible device.
• Right click and uninstall the driver for the touch pad.
• Restart your computer.
• Return to Device Manager and find your device again.
• Right click the device and select "Update Driver Software".
• On the message-box that will now appear, select
  "Browse my computer for driver software".
• Click the browse button and navigate to the folder that you previously downloaded and extracted.
• Open the folder and navigate open the folder
  "WinWDF". Now select your build (x64 generally for the Asus G74SX, but be sure). The driver will now install.
• After the driver is installed, restart your system once more and test that your touch pad is working.
• Open "Control Panel" and browse to
  "Mouse". You should now see that the device is correctly identified as "Synaptics TouchPad" and that a new tab is available in this window for the touch pad's settings.

Also, in case you might need/want your keyboard to function as it did before your update (Function Keys, Hot Keys, ROG Button), I've provided links to drivers that I used that were compatible with the G74SX and Windows 10.

The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.
