    I second this.

    I've seen reports that the XBone chatpad combination is going to be available for Windows 10.

    I imagine this surely means that they would have support of the Xbox 360 chatpad for Windows 7 and 8 as well. Or that it would soon be in the works.

    Or that XBone chatpad -also- would work for Windows 7 and 8.

    Hi,

    To address your concern, we suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Xbox 360 controller driver. To do that, follow these steps:

    • Go to the Device Manager.
    • In Device Manager locate Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows
      and right click it.
    • Choose Uninstall.
    • After the driver has been uninstalled, restart your computer. When your computer restarts, Windows 10 will automatically install the missing driver.

    Let us know if you need further assistance.

    xbox 360 controller chatpad- PC support?

    I know this question has been asked (and mostly ignored) to death already. I've read through many discussion boards and tried many different workarounds from 3rd party sources.

    It seems like every Microsoft staff member who has responded previously has mostly either been blaming people for even trying, or passing the buck off to Xbox (who also hasn't responded).

    I'd really like to be able to use my wireless Xbox 360 controller's chatpad with games I play on my PC through Steam.

    I'm not the most savvy user, and I know very little about coding so I won't comment as to why or why not this should be possible. I guess my question boils down to this:

    Are there any plans to make a patch/driver for the chatpad in Windows (I'm running Windows 10), and if no why not?

    I'm assuming most replies to this thread will be other frustrated Windows users as that seems to be the theme of the discussion so far. But who knows? Maybe Microsoft will blow our collective minds and make it work (or at least give a good reason why it
    won't).
