Windows 10: Appearance Large black box at cursor end in text blocks

Hello guys,

My name is Richard and I recently upgraded to new laptop HP and there is a giant black box that appears whenever I'm trying to type it's happening to me as I write this in almost every text box I use.

I've enclosed a screenshot. Pretty sure it's just a setting I can't seem to find.

Anyone have this problem? I'd appreciate any and all help. Thanks so much,

blocks of text are black, blue and grey colored boxes

Running a new HP Notebook with Windows 10, in two separate applications (Quickbooks 2016 and Outlook 2016) blocks of text appear as black, blue and grey boxes obscuring some of the text. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

 

Cursor disappears while typing in text box

*Original Title: cursor and text box issues

After clicking in a text box, the cursor disappears if the mouse/cursor moves anywhere but in the same text box. I cannot click in the text box and write unless I make sure the mouse is held in the same box. Windows 10

any suggestions?

 

Cat 10.4: Revenge of the enormous cursor

In multi monitor setups it typically only affects one monitor. In my case it happens to be the one I usually use for text, webpages, Word files and so on, making it really annoying. I got the bonus item of a black smudge that obscurs the cursor in text fillable boxes.
