Windows 10: App Crash- Gigabyte RGB fusion 2.0

Hello community, I have been using RGB fusion happily for a year now, everything was fine until day before yesterday. I updated to rgb fusion latest version and since then the app is not opening. When i try to open the app it crashes/force closed after few seconds. I have tried Gigabyte forum and internet for help but nothing solved the issue. So i decided to reinstall the OS and yet its not working. Then i have looked into Windows Event viewer and found Error msg log. Here im showing these. Error 1- - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">- <System>

Constant BSOD Issues

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 2-Year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

One of the crash dumps blame GLCKIO2.sys as a reason of crash which might be a part of RGB fusion app from Gigabyte technology. Do you have such an app installed?

 

Help for upcoming new build

As a fan of Gigabyte motherboards (have fives of them), I still don't use or install Gigabyte's APP Center software. I don't find it useful at all and some apps don't work or cause issues.





That said, the only app I have installed (and thankfully it doesn't need App Center) is Fusion RGB to control the motherboard's LED lighting. That's it.

As for drivers for the motherboard. I highly suggest you install all the latest drivers listed for your board from Gigabyte. There are no issues doing so, and it IS the safest bet.

RGB case lighting & RGB strip not in sync?

I can't find a Gigabyte Z370X at their site, but the other Gigabyte Z370 mainboards have a software called RGB Fusion.
Do you have that on your system?
