ANTI-TRUST re: Install RAV to FORCE unnecessary Consumer purchases

I was one of those just greeted by this RAV software that has been given access to my system without my permission. It IS NOT a Windows component. I have my very own Anti-virus/Malware protection. Now, Microsoft partner RAV is trying to extort me to pay for RAV to fix the issues or claims to have found. This web page came up as soon as I told RAV to correct the issues Microsoft let out find in my computer without my permission. I'm pretty sure the only issue is that Microsoft knows I haven't paid RAV any money and Rav knows I'm not going to pay them any money. This is a HUGE breach of consumer

    :)

  2. RAV endpoint protection

Maybe they're a member of Microsoft Virus Initiative (MVI) like any other AV vendor, and they're listed in the Consumer antivirus software providers listing at Microsoft, along with other AV products: Consumer antivirus software providers for Windows - Microsoft Support

However, RAV was not installed by Microsoft. It was most likely bundled with some other software.

    Vpn ( trusted Vpn)

    Hi everyone.
I am not an expert about Vpn and that's why I would like to know if someone could list me a few trusted Vpns, I would really appreciate any suggestion/ advice.

    Thanks.

Unable to install Trusted Certificate for WORD

    Hello! Bryan Koyano

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community

The error message you’re encountering while trying to install a trusted certificate for Microsoft Word indicates that the certificate used to sign the deployment manifest for the add-in is not trusted. Allow me to ask:

    • Is this happening to other Office programs?
    • What version and edition of Office do you have installed in your device? Example: Personal/Family/Enterprise?
      • You can open any Office apps
      • Go to File > Accounts - on the right side you can see Product Information
    • Is this happening to other devices? or just this device?
    • Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Office on your device?

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

    1. Check Certificate Trust:
      • Ensure that the certificate you’re using is valid and trusted. If it’s self-signed, make sure it’s added to the trusted root certificate authorities on your system.
      • Verify that the certificate’s location (file path) is accessible and not blocked by any security policies.
    2. Office Add-In Trust Settings:
      • Open Word and go to File > Options.
      • Select the Trust Center tab.
      • Click on Trust Center Settings.
      • Navigate to the Trusted Locations tab.
      • Add the folder containing your add-in files (including the certificate) as a trusted location.
    3. Uninstall/Reinstall office.
      • Go to Start menu > Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
      • Locate your Microsoft Office and click Modify
      • Click Uninstall and follow the instructions for uninstalling Office.
      • Restart your device.
    4. To reinstall Office in your device:
      1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ sign in with your account.
      2. Click the Install button - this should download your Officesetup.exe to your device.
      3. Run the Officesetup.exe
      4. Follow the steps for installing Office in your device.
Remember to consult your system administrator if you need further assistance. Hopefully, these steps will help you resolve the certificate trust issue and successfully install your Word add-in!

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you,
