  2. Alt-tab switcher popping up and interrupting games

I am having a problem with the alt-tab switcher popping up and interrupting games and it is driving me crazy! I will be seriously indebted to anyone who can help solve this for me.

    Here's some additional info:

    1) It's not that the window is fully minimizing, just that the window switcher is popping up, as if I had pressed and held alt-tab (it looks like the picture at the top of this article https://www.howtogeek.com/429223/master-windows-10s-alttab-switcher-with-these-tricks/,
except that the switcher is overlaid over the game window rather than being overlaid over the desktop). This still totally interrupts the game and is basically ruining it for me.

    2) I have a Lenovo Y520 laptop and WIndows 10

    3) The issue occurs when running graphically intense games (specifically I've had the issue with Mordhau and Call of Duty). This is going to sound crazy, but it happens at specific times in the games, not randomly. Specifically, it happens when I get hit
or shot in the games. (I know that sounds completely ridiculous but I swear it is true.) This sounds even crazier, but it only happens when in multiplayer. I can play the games single-player without issue.

    4) I do not have the issue when running less graphically intense games like Civ 6.

    5) Here are things I have already tried that have NOT fixed the issue:

    A - Updating graphics driver

B - Using autohotkey to disable the alt-tab and windows buttons

C - Checking event logs to see if there are events that coincide with the alt-tab switcher showing up

D- Running the games in windowed, fullscreen, fullscreen borderless, or extended fullscreen modes

    6) My system meets the requirements for these games, and I don't have frame rate issues when playing.

WIN 10 - window keeps losing focus and ALT + TAB not working properly

After windows 10 update from win 7, I have been facing the following issues.

    1. ALT + TAB to switch between multiple windows doesn't work properly especially when a web browser is involved. When I switch only the current window loses focus but the other window doesn't appear, even if I manually click the needed window from the taskbar
using my mouse. I had to press windows+D to go desktop and then select the needed window. This happens especially when the switching happens between a web browser and another window like explorer etc...

    2. When the internet connection is off(WIFI) any window that I look into currently loses focus in few seconds but when the internet is ON, this doesn't happen.

    Thanks for any support.

  4. Alt+Tab loses Window focus, but the "Window Switcher" is not appearing

Alt-Tab app-chooser does not go away when I release the Alt key.. (Alt-Tab freezes)

Mostly I see this talked about in gaming, but I don't play games

In my windows 10, if I press ALT+TAB I see the switcher dialog pane appear. Holding ALT and tabbing moves the selection rectangle to the next window, and ALT+SHIFT+TAB moves it back - so far so good but:

    * if I release the ALT key, the switcher dialog remains displayed onscreen. It does not respond to mouse or keyboard input.

    * while the alt-tab switcher dialog is open, everything behind it on that monitor is not accessible

    * The app that had the highlight rectangle around it does NOT gain the keyboard focus (i have two monitors; if i select an app on the other monitor i.e. not the one the alt-tab switcher is showing on, the app i selected in the switcher does not acquire focus)

    * apps stay running normally - I can click them in the windows taskbar, they acquire the focus. I can use Windows-CursorLeft and Windows-CursorRight keys to move the window around the screen and onto the other monitor (getting them out from under the alt-tab
switcher) where they can be interacted with normally

    * if I alt-tab again, the selection rectangle carries on moving from where it was before, it does not go back to the first app

    * if I press alt+esc, the switcher dialog disappears and windows acts normally This is my current workaround to get rid of the alt-tab switcher dialog, though it of course does not changed the focused app Alt+Tab loses Window focus, but the "Window Switcher" is not appearing :)

    * if I use win-left and win-right to stick an app to the left or right half of a monitor, I note that windows shows a selection of other apps in the other half of the monitor, as a quick way to choose "which app do you want in this half?" - this panel of
tiles also has all the same symptoms as the alt-tab switcher (cannot be clicked on or interacted with). To get it to go away I have to alt-tab to make the broken switcher appear(which seems to cause the "which app on this half of the monitor" chooser to disappear)
and then alt-esc to make the broken switcher dialog disappear
