Windows 10: Allowing my windows 10 PC to utilize my new 2 Gigabit internet speeds from Xfinity

I recently updated my internet service through Xfinity to the 2 gigabit speed..... I can get the top speeds on my phone and other devices but my PC that is windows 10 64 bit and the current ethernet card wont allow my to go over 100 MBPS........ Windows 10 With Gigabit Internet, Updates Lost Speed

Hello

I'm currently having some strange problems with internet speeds on my main Windows 10 machine. I have gigabit internet services but have only been able to get more more then 400mbps rather then the normal 800 - 960mbps.

This machine is custom built using Cat6a cable wired direct to router.

- I have confirmed router is on newest firmware and tired different ports

- I have Trend Micro antivirus on this computer and done scans for virus as well as spyware with Malwarebytes

- Have done the steps online listed for Windows updates and bandwidth limiter

- Confirmed latest NIC driver

- Disabled all startup items to see if any change

- On a fresh install of Windows I will have amazing speeds until the system does the updates.

I have confirmed with another computer wired that speeds are good without any issues. If it helps I do have a ASUS ROG motherboard. Running Windows 10 Pro. Any help on this would be great or if someone else has experienced an issue like this.

Xfinity Wifi showing up in my routers available internet connections ?

I recently found that "xfinity wifi" is showing up in my available internet access list as an openly available option.
I have comcast xfinity hi speed internet as my internet provider but have never had it show up on the routers available connections list before. The home network I set up years ago has a different name.

I am puzzled why this free open network has suddenly appeared in the list. As it requires no password I think there is a possibility its use might present a security risk
Is this a new Xfinity feature??
