Windows 10: AlbumArt_Large, AlbumArt_Small, AlbumArtSmall, and Folder.jpg

I'm just wondering how Windows Media Player knows how to add these files. Like, what causes these files to be added exactly?

I would like to add them myself for a bunch of media folders that do not have these files.

I also notice that after ripping CDs that these files don't always appear in these folders.

There must be some type of exact trigger, but I don't know what it is exactly.

No Preview Available When selecting a folder that has a FOLDER.jpg

When looking at a list, or detail view of folders in explorer, and the preview pane is open on the side...why does win 10 not show a preview of the folder contents or the Folder.jpg file?

Is this a setting issue? or is win 10 just not set up for that?

Why is there no folder.jpg displayed in Preview Pane for file folders when a view setting of list or details is selected?
(Yes i know about the difference between Details Pane and Preview Pane selection under the File drop down.)

Now if I go in to a folder and select anything, there is a preview, but not out side the folder like there is if I select Large Icons. I cannot see whats inside the folder by selection ether in List or details view. It really sucks because I often have to select Large Icons a scroll down a bunch of boxes rather then hit the arrow down and scroll down each folder looking for it contents.

Now I notice. Shortcuts to folders....will display the folder.jpg inside the folder.
But only short cuts do this.

Any way the change this?

'AlbumArtSmall' and 'Folder' pictures files that "pollute" the OneDrive Music folder

Hello!

It would be nice from MS to develop and deliver a batch which could delete all the small pictures files that "pollute" the OneDrive Music folder.

I speak of all these small pictures files 'AlbumArtSmall', 'Folder', 'AlbumArt_{EAB..........}_Large', etc.... which were generated by Windows Media Player, are not needed anymore, and for example appear in the new Picture app of Windows 10 (I personally
have thousands and thousands of these files!)
