Windows 10: Airpods only connecting as Headphone

I have tried everything suggested in the forums and didn't have this problem with my old regular airpods. I have even tried factory resetting my Airpod Pro 2s, restarting Windows, pairing my Airpods, and still nothing. It doesn't let me connect when I click connect and doesn't let me set it as default either. All I can do is listen.I honestly don't know what I can do at this point, help would be very appreciated!It's also not letting me attach the images but in both playback and recording it shows the AirPods as headset but disconnected and then as headphone in playback as connected.

Airpods Not Connecting

When trying to connect my airpods to Windows 10, the airpods come up as headphones rather than airpods like they would before, then continue to say connecting for ages. It gets stuck there, I've paired them before. I've updated all my drivers and all, but I cant seem to get them to connect.
