Windows 10: AHCI Port0 device error

Whenever I reboot my desktop computer, I get this AHCI Port0 device error. It tells me to hit F2 to resume, which takes me to the CMOS Setup Utility. I exit out of that and all seems fine. I read that this could possibly be a hard drive failure. When I try to do a backup, it fails because the drive is corrupt. My question is, if I want to replace my hard drive, how can I reinstall windows 10 if the drive is corrupt? I also have windows 10 on my laptop, both the laptop and desktop were previous Windows 7 computers before upgrade. Could I get a copy of Window 10 from my laptop? Can I download a copy from Microsoft for free? I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

AHCI PORT0 DEVICE ERROR

After most recent win10 update I now get ahci error that gives me the option to continue by clicking F1 (I think). After clicking computer boots normally. I checked the bios and sata mode is set to AHCI. Not a big deal but now I have to be present to
boot the computer or it will stop and wait for me to tell it what to do.

The error that you mentioned is unlikely due to an update, but is an error message by your
BIOS. Error messages like this pertains to either the SATA Port 0 is failing, or it's the
hard disk connected to SATA Port 0 is failing. If you are using a desktop, if you can, try to change the port where the hard disk is connected. If you still encounter the issue, this might be due to hard disk itself. I recommend that you get
in touch with your hardware manufacturer to check if they have hardware diagnostics to further isolate the issue.
