After the Windows 10 Update on 3/8/21 my NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphic cards drivers no longer works. I have tried every available work around that I have read. It appears clear to me that only a few people were able to fix this and only by uninstalling the last March 8th update. I no longer even seem to have that option. Microsoft needs to fix this ASAP. It is unfathomable that such an update went out without appropriate testing to avoid serious issues for their users.


I am no longer able to work and have lost substantial income and time do to this serious issue. I would appreciate it if a live person would actually call me and help me fix this. Driver for Nvidia GeForce MX250 provided by Windows Driver Update is left far behind the OEM latest

Hi Microsoft Team!

By today the latest Nvidia MX250 driver is in version 445.87 but Windows Driver Update provides 431.98 which is far behind. Hope you could investigate this.

I am using built in Intel UHD 620 and discrete Nvidia MX250 optimus graphic cards.

The funny thing that when i downloaded and installled new 445.87 driver via Geforce Experience, even the Geforce Experience didn't recognize that i had installed new driver.

I have a xiaomi mi notebook air 13.3" 2019 variant with mx250 discrete graphics card. I did a fresh install of windows 10 home using media creation tool since the original windows was in chinese. After installing windows and doing the usual windows update,
i found that there was no graphics card detected in device manager, not even integrated graphics. So i went on to download drivers prompted by drivereasy. After that, the integrated graphics (Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620) appeared under display adapters, however
the mx250 appeared under other devices as 3D Video Controller (or at least im assuming that is the mx250) with the yellow alert sign. Upon inspection of the 3D video controller device status is "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28). There
are no compatible drivers for this device.". Under events>information it says "Device PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1D52&SUBSYS_17031D72&REV_A1\4&2bf19b81&0&00E0 requires further installation.".

So my situation now is, i cannot install the drivers for the graphics card from nvidia website or geforce experience because the hardware isnt detected, and the hardware isn't recognized because the drivers aren't installed.

Can i get some help on what i should do or maybe i need to install something else? I have tried multiple "driver finders" and all my drivers are already up to date.

graphics card: showing Intel UHD 620 instead of NVIDIA GeForce MX250

My device is Acer Aspire 5 A515-52G-57VG. It comes with a graphics card of NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2 GB VRAM. Yet, when I download TechPowerUp and under graphics card, it shows Intel UHD Graphics 620, as you can see from the screenshot. Why doesn't it
show NVIDIA GeForce MX250? What happened? What should I do? Should I contact Acer or??? Under device manager, there are two adapters under display. Intel and NVIDIA.
