The "microphone volume" setting does not adjust my microphone volume.

Testing my jack microphone (Jack Mic) gives me a result around 3% to 5% volume regardless of what volume I put it at when I talk in a loud tone. The same even goes for when I use audio enhancements.

Using the built-in microphone (Microphone Array), however, seems to work, as the volume is at 1% at lower volumes and as high as 100% when I put it at 100 volume.

I also should note that apps that are able to adjust my microphone for calls (e.g Skype, Discord, etc.) are able to adjust my microphone volume just fine on their respective apps; it's purely the settings microphone volume slider that doesn't work.

I had recently gotten a new laptop (Dell New G15), and although it works wonderfully, it does not work with my mic well, seeing as how my old laptop did not have this problem.

To summarize, my headset microphone is very quiet, and barely anyone can hear me, not even myself. I tried to adjust my microphone volume, but whether it's at 1 or 100, it's the same. I could potentially enable audio enhancements, but it also worsens my microphone quality a lot.

Here's what I've tried so far:

• Reinstalling the microphone driver
  
• Reinstalling the Realtek Audio Driver
  
• Switching sound drivers
  
• Using a third party app to boost my microphone, which weirdly did not work as well unless I enabled audio enhancements.
  
• Restarting my laptop
  
• Disabling and enabling the drivers
  

And here are some specs I think might be important (I don't know if this will help):

• Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13650HX, 2600 Mhz, 14 Core(s), 20 Logical Processor(s)
  
• Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB
  
• Windows 11
  

I really want my microphone to be heard by people, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I did look at another post that asked the same question, but the solution did not work for me.

 

Problem with microphone adjust.


When iam using microphone and speaking the volume of the microphone being lower.
1.I've removed auto-adjust from skype.
2.I have the latest version of realtek audio.
3.I have the latest driver version of my microphone.
4.Selected "Do nothing" at "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Sound".

still auto adjusting the microphone and no one can hear me good.
How can i unadjust the microphone?
