  1. Active Signal Mode not following selected output

I have tried several different options to get Active Signal Mode to follow the selected resolution and FPS settings chosen, but, for some reason, it's just not doing what I would expect. Here's my problem:I have a TCL 4K Google TV connecting to an MSI laptop with a single video output HDMI. When I connect the two, the default resolution goes to 3840 x 2160. I would prefer to play games running off my laptop at 1080p and 60 Hz. The problem is that I cannot select that specific option and the TV or laptop output with that configuration. I have tried 1920 x 1080 at 50 fps, and that seems t

    so i want to play 4k resolution 144 hz (3840 x 2160 Hz)

when I put 4k resolution with 60 hz the Active signal mode is normal (3840 x 2160)
but when i put 144hz it goes to Active signal mode 2560 x1440, 144hz

    Please help.

    I already tried going to

Display adapter options for Display 2 > List All Modes \/

    The selected mode is 3640 x 2160, 144hz

How to Change Active Signal Mode

I recently received an Asus 165hz monitor. It is able to display 2560x1440 at 165hz through display port and 2560x1440 at 144hz through HDMI. If I connect my monitor to my laptop directly through HDMI, it will output 2560x1440 at 144hz. I also received a capture card that is able to output content at 240hz at 1080p, 144hz at 1440p, and 60hz at 4k. If I connect my laptop to the capture card and then the capture card to the monitor, it will output 3840x2160 and prevent me from changing the refresh rate to anything higher than 60hz. If I try changing my resolution back to 2560x1440p, the active signal mode will not change. If I try to go to display adapter properties and then select list all modes, there is no resolution for 2560x1440p at 144hz. Please help me figure this out.

how to select the output audio speakers

To change the speaker output on Windows Media Player, you can try the following steps:

    1. Open Windows Media Player.
    2. Click on “Tools” and then “Options”.
    3. Click on the “Devices” tab.
    4. Click on “Speakers” and then “Properties”.
    5. Select the audio device you want to use and click on “OK”.
    6. You may also have to restart WMP for changes to take effect.
If the above steps don’t work, you can try changing the default sound device in Windows 11. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Open the Settings app by pressing the Windows key + I.
    2. Click on “System” and then “Sound”.
    3. Under the “Output” section, click on the “Choose where to play sound” setting.
    4. Select the speakers, headphones, or headsets you want to use.
