Windows 10: acer aspire 5 stuck in tablet mode.

please help me my laptop acer aspire 5 is stuck in tablet mode and as a result the keyboard and touchpad are disabled and not working at all. it’s basically just there not working or anything, any typing i need to do i must do using the touch screen, making it almost like an ipad since the keyboard does not work. i tried everything, even reset the laptop, however the issue persists.

Acer Aspire 5 touchpad and keyboard not working (stuck in tablet mode?):

This week I was studying on my acer aspire 5 when I noticed that when I had my screen flipped to tablet mode it wasn’t actually disabling the keyboard for whatever reason. I thought nothing of it until the next day when I turned on my laptop and realized neither my keyboard nor touchpad were working. I looked it up online and found basically nothing, maybe if the laptop was updated in tablet mode it might stay in there. As far as I can tell, crappy windows 11 has no way of manually swapping out of the tablet mode on my computer, so I am completely stuck. I’ve reinstalled and updated my drivers, windows defender full canned my computer, SFC scan, turned off optimize taskbar when computer is in tablet mode, completely factory reset my computer AND NOTHING. The keyboard works in BIOS so I think it’s a software issue but please I’m begging someone to tell me how to fix this I have 5 essays due next week.

Hi Katherine, the Acer Aspire 3 has a 15.6" HD (1366 x 768) resolution screen. it does not have touch capability.

So while you can turn on Tablet Mode, you cannot use the touch screen capability according to the Acer website . . .
