Windows 10: accounts being made temp after updates

I got my laptop in January and everything was fine until Windows updated and I lost all my data, this confused me but I just moved on about my day. After a while, i had redownloded all the things I had before, I would lose it all again, my laptop woul reset. I got fed up, checked my account and it was temporary. I looked at other posts to try help with this, but it didn't work.


I made a new profile on my laptop and everything was fine and dandy until the second account was also made temporary after the most recent update on the 12th June 2020, I lost all my data all over again.


None of the solutions i found to help an account stop being temporary have worked and I really don't want to make a new profile on my laptop everytime there's an update just for it to become temporary as well. Is there a way to fix this? Or, even better, stop it altogether?

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

about temp folder

The temp folder provides work space for programs. Yes they can be deleted. We suggest that you follow the steps provided by Sangeeta Sarkar on how to delete Temp files on this

link. You may also type in the search box Disk Cleanup and hit enter. It will evaluate your disk and give you a list of folders sizes that can be deleted.
