Windows 10: Accidently moved location of Downloads folder directly to disk D:

Was trying to clear up space on my disk C:, so I looked up how to moved my downloads folder and it said to use properties -> location and I did that without creating a downloads folder in disk D: so now I've got like 20 items and some folders originally in D:. I've tried moving it into a subfolder but it doesn't work, and moving it back into disk C: but there are some program folders causing it to not move. Undo doesn't work either

I accidentally moved the downloads folder to disk d without creating any files, and the entire disk d became downloads.

The problem is that the files in the d folder are included in the downloads folder and I cannot move them back to the c disk because there is no space. Even though I want to move them, it gives the error (The list of normal subdirectories under "D:\System Volume Information" could not be created. Access is denied.).

How do I move the downloads folder back to disk C without moving the files?

 

Moving Downloads folder

The location is correct and that is the right thing to do, so your Downloads folder is correctly located at your D:.

Every other location that you open Downloads points directly to this folder on your D: if you moved the files to this new location, you don't need to delete anything.
