  1. Accessing old Window files after upgrade

    Hi,

I finally successfully upgraded from Win 7 Pro 64-bit to Win 10 (with the excellent help from people on this forum!). But there were some things that I wanted to backup and didn't. But I discovered that my old Windows files are still on my computer. Is it safe to access these files?

Another problem I have run into is that MS will not let me re-install Office 2013 on this computer, even though it was on it before. It tells me that I have reached my activation limit. Could this be happening because Office 2013 is still already installed on my computer, in the old Windows files?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

File access denied to many files

Since Upgrading to Windows 10, I am now experiencing problems accessing many files?

How can I gain access to ALL my files?

Can this be done in one operation, easily, or is it difficult?

Step by Step instructions would be greatly appreciated?

    Thanks
