    100% Disk Usage Randomly


    Hello fellow Microsoft workers, I've had this problem for weeks now and I've searched many solutions on how to fix "the 100% disk usage" problem but unfortunately none of them has provided help for me. I've been trying to contact many users that have faced this same issue but most of them replied to me," wait for the update that would fix this, which is never," So I've waited for the 1709 update but that just made it worst, from 74-100% disk usage is now 100% unstable disk usage which lead to a fact that I should just contact Microsoft to help me with this problem. I've researched that most of the dell and hp users have this problem so I've been meaning to ask you guys, if you can help me fix this problem with 100% disk usage.

    100% disk usage

    The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

    Hi,

    100% disk usage and memory usage can be caused by a software corruption, running application running on the background and malware or virus infection.

    For us to properly isolate the issue and provide an appropriate resolution, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Did the issue happen after installing the Fall Creators?
    • Did you receive any error messages?
    • Can you send us the screenshot of the Task Manager showing the 100% disk usage and memory usage?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    For isolation purposes, please perform a clean boot to see if the same issue will occur. Refer to this
    article for more information on how to perform a clean boot
    in Windows.

    100% Disk Usage Randomly

    Disk usage 100%

    Disk usage 100% after i start any app. Goes back to normal after some time. Dont know if this is related to this issue aswell but as i am playing (overwatch) disk usage is randomly 100% and i get lagspikes. Have tried disabling superfetch, prefetch, windows
    search and things like that so far has not helped at all.
