Great article Shawn.
It made me really think about wanting to buy a new PC with the i7(need a much, much, better paying job for the deca-core) and the NVMe's, and the mobo that runs it all.
Basically, for now, my current desktop does what I want, and even better since it has Win10*Start.

So I'll just keep saving, until this one goes bits-up*092

Why has this not been implemented yet? How do you expect people to buy your products when you can't keep up with technology? This is the only thing that is keeping me from buying a Lumia 1020.

 

Shortcuts not working in Windows 10

Shameful that this problem has been known for over 2 years and still not fixed or resolved. I just upgraded to a new Win 10 machine and I have to manually re-create every shortcut. Utterly stupid.

And that is the least of the conversion problems.

Someday, Microsoft will realize that their income would double, triple, or more if they actually addressed all the user problems of conversion and upgrade. It should be fun and exciting to upgrade to the newest technology. Instead, it is always, but always,
a terrible monstrous nightmare that takes weeks (at best) of pure aggravated headache. No wonder we wait until the last possible moment before upgrading. If it were easy, lots of people would buy lots more computers; i.e. upgrade way more often. Duh. 20 years
from now, someone will figure that out. But we really need this now. Microsoft, are you listening to anyone at all?

 

The Toms guide report on wireless video streaming using "Miracast is a disaster" is outdated.....this report was printed more than two years ago.....two years is a long time when one considers advancements made in that time

Using the latest M$ Miracast dongle on a 55" TV and a Surface Pro 4 gives superb Youtube video playback, also browsing presents no problems.

 

It's ridiculous to say we should wait on 4K TV. Prices are nearly the same for HD and 4K!

 

I noticed that - the date of the article is 28 Sep 2016 but there are comments going back 505 days...

Guess they just re-released it and changed the date..

 

looks like you are right lx07 , comments started 5 days ago ( release date) after nothing for over 349 Days.....

Someone couldn't meet their Deadline perhaps *Smile

 

This is taken from the Toms Guide link in the quoted article...I make that going back 730 + 60 days to the present day.
