    Problem with windows mediaplayer


    Hi all,I bought a new laptop hp, with ryzen 7730U processor on which windows 11 is installed. I am busy processing photos and videos that are stored on an external hard drive. When I want to open the videos with an avi format, they are all played faster by the windows media player and a very loud beep sounds. Other videos such as .mov are played normally. I have reconnected the external hard drive to my previous laptop a dell and the same videos are played normally there. While windows 11 is also installed on it and the same media player is used. I have already reinstalled the media play

    Hello,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    I suggest you to edit and rename the songs directly from the media player and sort them according to requirement. Follow the steps mentioned below to rename songs.

    Steps:-

    1. Open Windows media player.
    2. Open the playlist.
    3. Right Click on the songs and rename them.
    4. After renaming the songs, sort them according to your requirements.

    I would appreciate some assistance from experts on W's MediaPlayer, which has suddenly started refusing to record CDs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling WMP, twice in fact, but to no avail. Helpful suggestions would be most welcome ! Thanks
