Windows 10: Can I charge earbuds with a 60W charger?

I’ve got a Windows laptop that uses a 60W USB-C charger. Since the plug fits, I was wondering — is it okay to use the same charger for small things like earbuds? I'm not really sure how this stuff works. Just don’t want to mess up the battery on smaller devices by using a more powerful charger. Also, has anyone tried charging a Windows laptop with a lower-wattage charger, like 30W? Curious if that actually works or just slows things down.

That is, is universal usb-c charging possible with the Lumia 950 XL?

Will plugging in a more powerful charger, for example, a 60w usb-c laptop charger, destroy the phone or will it work, charging the phone much more quickly?

Laptop charging icon shows charging even when my charger is not plugged in

Hi, thank you for your suggestion. I followed all the steps mentioned by you. The issue stopped temporarily. The issue started again today. The moment I switched the laptop on, the charging icon was showing that the laptop is charging even though the charger
was not plugged in. The charging light was also on. I had to plug in the charger and switch it on and off to stop this automatic charging.

Is there any other way to solve this issue? Also, is there a chance that there is bug in the latest update?

I am worried that my laptop battery will get spoiled.
