    help! how do I force onedrive to stop syncing?


    Hi, somehow, after reinstalling a fresh Windows 11 copy, when adding my onedrive account, windows started to download all 650GB in the Onedrive to my pc, which I do not want and which never happened before. The process kept going forever so I went into Settings, and it turns out "Onedrive Files on Demand" was turned off. So I turned it on, hoping that syncing would soon stop.But now, my PC has been going on for 2-3 hours and Onedrive is still "processing changes". The pc is totally unusable, network/cpu load are all very high. My biggest concern is that I'm on a fair use fixed data plan and I

    If you wish to stop syncing on your Windows PC, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article

    Turn off, disable, or uninstall OneDrive    .

    Sign in to OneDrive.com from any browser or Open OneDrive App, click the ‘?’ help icon on the top banner of the page and select

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Is there a way to force photo sync to OneDrive?

    Recently my phone stopped sync'ing my photos to OneDrive. I verified the settings and I'm configured to backup to OneDrive. I verified that I have plenty of space on OneDrive, as well.

    Is there a way to force the photos to sync?
