Windows 10: Restore point not working

Got this error when I tried to create a restore point. Looked up on the internet and I went to sfc, dism chkdsk.sfc found and fixed some issues. dism found and repaired corruption. chkdsk got this:...Usn Journal verification completed. The master file table's MFT BITMAP attribute is incorrect. The Volume Bitmap is incorrect. Windows has checked the file system and found problems. Please run chkdsk /scan to find the problems and queue them for repair.Then I run chkdsk /scan and I got thisS C:\Users\J> chkdsk /scan The type of the file system is NTFS. The shadow copy provider had an error

System Restore Point Questions

Suppose I go back to an earlier version of C: with the desired restore point, restore from it and create a restore point on D:, then reload the current C:. Will I be able to restore from that restore point on D:?

Step by step:

1. Enable Restore for D:
   
2. Back up the C: drive with Acronis.
   
3. Restore C: to an earlier date with the desired restore point, from the Acronis backup image.
   
4. Restore the system from the desired restore point.
   
5. See if Restore is still enabled for D:. If not, enable it there, with the same capacity as in step 1.
   
6. Disable Restore for C:.
   
7. Create a restore point. Since there's no availability on C:, it should be created on D:, and be identical to the desired restore point.
   
8. Now put C: back to the current version using the backup created in step 2.
   

Will the system now recognize that restore point on D: and let me restore from it?

System restore point automatic create not working....need help.

Were you seeing CAPI2 errors with Macrium & System Restore.

And after enabling system protection.
1) Does System Protection automatically create and populate checkpoints to list.
Does System Protection create restore points when called by a program and populate checkpoints to list.

2) I'd like to confirm whether my issue is unique to me or common.
My issue is that I can manually create restore points okay and those manual created will populate to my list.
Automatic restore points do not populate to my list. Albeit, Task Scheduler shows Last Run time change.
Automatic restore points do not populate to my list e.g., with Windows Updates.
When create restore point is called by a program. I see activity that suggest restore point is being created ...but, again the activity does not translate to an entry in my list.

Turn off system restore in XP altogether...or if you dont want to, AsRocks suggestion should work :\
