Windows 10: How do I stop my keyboard double typing or not typing b's, n's, spaces, and the shift key...

Basically, my keyboard has started bugging out whenever I press certain the b, n, and space keys, with the shift key refusing to make b's and n's uppercase, as well as not letting me type question marks. Its sporadic though, and it'll work sometimes while not working for a solid minute other times. I have a feeling it has something to do with my computer getting a but too warm, a problem I've had before, but never experienced this symptom, but I have no clue. I don't know if I have to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, or what, but I hope someone might be familiar with this glitch

Keys b, n and space bar not working

I have a dell inspiron 13-5378 (windows 10).

The keys b, n and space bar have stopped responding.

Currently i am using the touch keyboard.

 

Shift + C key is not typing C in upper case

We understand your concern as you are unable to use Shift + C key, to type C letter in upper case.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• Does this issue occurs on using both the shift keys?
  
• Did you check if this issue occurs using and external keyboard? To eliminate hardware issue.
  
• Are you aware of any changed on the PC, prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check if that helps.

1. Press Windows + I to launch Windows
   Settings
   
2. Click on Updates & Security and select
   Troubleshooter from the left pane
   
3. Select Keyboard and click on
   Run the troubleshooter
   
4. Follow the onscreen instruction and later restart the PC to check

Also, you may try running the keyboard diagnostics tool from Dell website for the model you are using:
Custom Component Test (go to Custom Component Test and choose
"Select individual components" and choose Keyboard to run the diagnostics)

Toshiba L750 keys: ` leftshift a b n keys not working suddenly


Hey Everyone

Started typing on my internal laptop keyboard today and reliased that mainly keys a b and n were not working.
So I decided to clean them by taking off the key and white holder, then used a cloth to clean all the dust etc.. both under the rubber button and around it. This still didn't work however, so I then decided to uninstall and reinstall the driver as well. However this didn't work either.

Its probably best to try and buy a new one off e-bay, but before I do this does anyone else have any suggestions?

Also interesting, a b and n seems to be a popular combination of keys for other toshiba laptops that don't seem to be working... (Using a USB keyboard atm to type which works fine)
