    why does windows 11 actively interfere with latest , most up to date ASUS realtek audio driver


    The sound hardware on my PRIME Z690 A motherboard cannot be utilized without software . Some some unknown reason windows 11 CONTINUES to actively interfere with the valid use of the audio hardware contained in my PC . This is no new problem . All I can do is adjust volume and left + right volume .THERE IS NOT EVEN THE ABILITY TO ADJUST BASS OR TREBLE OR LOUDNESS . Never mind all the advanced sound effects features that have been a part of every ASUS PRIME motherboard I have owned for over 10 years going back before windows xp . Never any trouble until windows 11 came to be with all of its deep

    Realtek High Definition Audio Driver isn't Appearing in Device Manager

    Your motherboard is listed by Asus as Windows 11 ready, that means that your motherboard should have DCH drivers (aka Realtek Audio Console) and not legacy driver (Realtek HD Audio Manager).

    Ask Asus where is the Windows 11 Realtek audio driver and it should install on your computer perfectly.

    The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

    Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

    The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

    I had the realtek error when using the installer, so I did these step and It Worked

    1.Go Open up device manager
    2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
    3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
    4. Right click and hit update driver
    5. Browse my computer for driver software
    6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
    7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
    8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
    9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
    10. Click Next and Yes
    After it is done, restart the PC

    You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.
