Windows 10: Games Direct X crashes and issues 24h2

I have been experiencing major issues with playing games over the past couple of months. # Crashes occur such as the games freezing at the beginning / mid-game / endgame sessions, followed by the crash report window or the game shutting down without any description of what happened and sometimes the computer even displays a blue screen, shuts down and booting up to the main screen.Also, in rare instances starting up the computer can also cause a blue screen of death.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling games, lowering the graphics settings, verifying or checking files, move f

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check:

• 
  Press Windows + R keys together.
  
• 
  Type dxdiag in the run prompt and hit enter.
  
• 
  Now check for the version of Direct x.

Direct X problem on Window 10

I have had issues with Direct X version 9 and have a couple of suggestions.

1. Install the Direct X 9c from the Microsoft Downloads site.

Download DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Official Microsoft Download Center

Or install the SDK or other Direct X updates from the Microsoft Downloads site in addition to that.

2. I find that some security programs such as Malwarebytes interfere with Direct X and I exit out of Malwarebytes before starting the game and when Installing Direct X.

3. I learned that Assassins Cred I crashes on Direct X functions when I am connected to the internet so I disable my network interface when playing that game.

First things first... I would suggest you create a Restore Point, just in case something strange happens. To create one just got to Control Panel, System, System Protection, Create a restore point right now..., and click on Create.





Name the creation point and click create...





This will now create a manual restore point should you need to revert back to a previous working point should something go wrong. I do myself do this a lot when I install certain programs or software.

Now...

When you download the file I linked to, you'll have to extract the files to a folder of your choosing. I suggest you create a folder named "DX Redist" prior to extracting the files and place it your desktop so you can easily find it.

Then click on the downloaded file and extract the contents to said folder. Open the folder and click on the DXSETUP.exe and the files should install. I just did it on my Win 10 machine and all went well. You may also want to reboot even though it may not be required.
