Resolution scaling resets every time I connect laptop to monitor

Morning, all. I picked up a new laptop recently - Lenovo Ideapad 3 - and I'm finding that every time I connect it to my external monitor at my studio desk, it switches to the correct resolution 1440, but forces the resolution scaling to 200% every time. Last time I had a laptop, it remembered the settings for my desk monitor and the laptop screen and switched between them automatically without my needing to adjust the res scaling every time. It's not the end of the world, but it is pretty annoying. Help appreciated. Details to follow:OS: Win 11 Pro, fully updatedIntegrated Radeon GraphicsLap

  2. Monitor Resolution reset after system restart

    Hi there,

I just bought a new 4k Monitor and added it to my system as primary monitor with my 1080p monitor as secondary. The problem I face everyday is when is start my system, the monitor resolution is reset. Earlier it used to reset my 4K monitor to 1080p and when
I check settings: Display Settings --> Scale and Layout it say 'A Custom Scale factor is Set'. To resolve it I had to log out and log in. After logging back the resolutions are fine and the Display Settings --> Scale and Layout 'A Custom Scale factor is Set'
is not 200%. But now from yesterday my resolution of 1080p display is getting changed to 4k on system restart. Again I have to do the above steps mentioned to resolve it. This is really annoying, why does not Windows remember my 2 monitors resolution. It
would be really helpful if anyone can suggest the solution.

My system details if it helps to find solution:

OS - Windows 10 latest update

    Monitor 1 - LG 27UD68-B (set to 4K native)

    Monitor 2 - LG E2360V (set to 1080p native)

    Graphics Card - Nvidia GTX970

  3. Resolution & DPI scaling on 32inch monitor

    Samsung LC32F397FWNXZA 32"
    resolution 1920 x 1080

    graphics card:

    GeForce GTX 1050 (2GB)

    Maximum Digital Resolution 7680x4320@60Hz2

Would this suggest that it is the monitor that is the limiting factor?

I'd like to just make the apps smaller but unable to scale below 100% or adjust the DPI below the default.

Resolution scaling resets every time I connect laptop to monitor

Automatically change display scaling when laptop docked/connected to an external monitor (win 10)

Hi. Hoping someone can help me with this issue. I have a laptop which runs in QHD resolution. Because the screen is small I have to use 150% scaling so that I can see things clearly. I also have a docking station at work which is connected to a 27 inch
QHD monitor. When im connected to the external monitor i need to have scaling at 100% or things look bad. I only mirror my laptop screen on the larger external monitor, so i am not using one screen as the primary/secondary. I know windows 10 has the ability
to adjust scaling and other settings for each monitor, but when i look at the settings, my monitor is listed as "1/2", so I cant adjust settings for each monitor individually. I want to know if there is a way that my laptop can run in 150% scaling when it
is disconnected from the external monitor, and automatically run in 100% scaling when it connects to the external monitor. Since both monitors are QHD, the only thing i need to change automatically is the scaling. Can this be done without having to change
    settings manually?

    thanks!
