Can't change volume in windows 24h2

So I just noticed an issue that when I start my laptop from sleep today, the sound is VERY loud, but the volume bar remains 14. Neither reinstall drivers nor restarting the system works. I made no changes to the system and it seemed to work pretty well. One way I found a solution is to go to settings->sound->volume mixer and change the volume for each apps manually. However, I can't modify the volume effectively using this way, so please help me. My laptop: Alienware m16r2Windows version: Wondows11 24h2*PLUS* a screenshot of my audio devices, I used to have a intelliGo Audio Processing O

    Factory reset Windows 11 24H2 (build 26100.863)

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

  3. Volume Mute Light won´t change color

Before I follow your suggestions, a quick update: as the updating didn´t seem to work I stopped trying and just left it alone for awhile. About a half hour later I looked over and saw that the mute light was now blue. I tried the button but it and the volume buttons did not work at all. On the screen I was told that I needed to reboot, which I did and now the system has returned back to the way it was before: everything works except that the mute light does not change to blue as it should when the speakers are not muted. WTF?

  4. Can't change volume in windows 24h2

Windows 10 volume is always defaulted to 36 and I can't change it

    Hi Ajinc,

It could be some outdated sound drivers or some audio enhancements that caused the issue you are experiencing with controlling your system volume. To narrow down such concern, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • Which version and build of Windows 10 is currently installed on your computer? To check, click on the
      Start > Settings > System >
      About
      .
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you've tried so far?
    • Were there any changes made on your computer settings prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you perform the steps listed here. Those are troubleshooting steps suitable for sound problems.

Update us if the steps above helped you in resolving your concern.
